Winter Bucket List for Everyone
Winter is long in New York where I live. To make the most of the short, cold, dark days of winter I created a Winter Bucket List that is perfect for everyone in my family. If you are looking for ideas to get through the long days of winter – look no further!
Confession. I used to HATE winter. Loathe it. I hated the snow. Imagine a grown adult who refused to wear a winter coat and boots. I would begrudgingly trudge through the snow in a sweatshirt and flat shoes. There was nothing magical or exciting about it for me. I dreaded the snow coming and refused to participate in any activities. You know what? It did nothing for me but make me more miserable.
One day my mother-in-law said something to me that I will never forget. “Winter is long we have to make the most of it.” Excuse me. What?! We need to make the most of it?! How? What was she talking about!!!
I finally figured it out. Whether we like it or not winter comes. The weather gets colder, and the snow inevitably comes. Our winters generally start in November and if we are lucky end by the end of March. It feels like half of our year is winter. So yes, we have to make the most of it.
Here are some ideas that we do to get through those long winter days. I encourage you to get creative and make the most of the days! Here is a free printable version of this list!
